I’ve been trying to get into Screamfest for over a decade. Turns out it wasn’t going to happen because my dumbass was playing the lead in some horror comedy. It took a feature screenplay I revised, tore apart, rebuilt, and revised again until I finally got it right.
And this only helps the cause.
The Buried By The Dark pilot won FilmQuest last year. Now the feature version is a Screamfest nominee.
So why the fuck can’t the feature win Screamfest too?
Seriously. How can you deny that possibility?
You can’t.
That's not a fluke anymore. That's a property people are repeatedly responding to.
